Trip to Adisham Bungalow

 

In school midterm holidays we used to go on trips. So when I was 10 it means 2010 we went on a trip to Badulla and Bandarawella. So we went to Dunhinda ella , Muthiyangana viharaya and so many nice places . The most interesting place that I went on there is Adisham Bungalow.

It is in Haputhale and near to Bandarawella city. Adisham bungalow is a very nice place which is covered with a thick forest with beautiful environment and nice climate. Everyone knows that’s badullla district climate is similar to Nuwara-Eliya. Due to this, the nature also seems so beautiful and we can enjoy it the way we can.

This place is known as “Country House” and now it used as a house of monastery to St’ Benedicts and runs by Benadictians monks. We heard that there are more than 100 rooms in this house but we allow to see only one room because it says that this house is haunted.  We went to the image gallery and all the people were focus towards one painting. It is a portrait of the person who owns the place and build Adisham.  Everyone tell this painting looks like Monalissa because its little similar as when you look on to this painting whatever position you are in, this painting is straightly look at your eyes, which is little strange and scary.

Adisham community maintain some cultivate strawberries, guavas, oranges and other vegetables. So these fruits used to produce jam, cordials, jellies, chutney, syrup and sauce. These products are 100 percent natural and so yummy. I remembered we also bought jam and some cordials.

This is a nice place and I recommend you to visit when you are visiting Badulla.😊
